Inspiring Women to Live Artfully

In the wake of all the struggles that has pierced our lives, we wanted to create a space for you to feel supported, anchored, nourished and uplifted.

We compiled a list of resources to help!

Family Movement is an organization birthed from The Founder and Executive Director, Lakenya Rivers own personal experiences as a former shelter resident. Family Movement strives to touch every family, generation by generation, with the fundamentals of Forgiveness, Acknowledgement, Motivation, Inspiration, and Love within Yourself. With a mission to help families transition out of homeless shelters into stable and permanent living arrangements. This is acheived by teaching and mentoring homeless youths and families how to become financially independent to end generational poverty and homelessness.

PureSpark strives to bring hope to those who find themselves in a dark place. The organization uses social media to provide resources, and daily coping mechanisms that would otherwise be out of reach for someone who is unfamiliar with the mental health system. And although the organization is open to providing information for everyone, its focus is on black women. Mental illness is often stigmatized in the black community and it is common for black women to put themselves, as well as their mental health, last in order to help others.

PureSpark is committed to helping you find your spark in the darkness through multiple forms of therapy including but not limited to psychotherapy, psychosomatic therapy, aromatherapy, journaling, dancing, singing, sound therapy, exercise, yoga, and exposure to nature.

Find your spark in the darkness!

MA Jean-Charles Psychotherapy and Consulting, LLC, provides psychodynamic therapy to individuals, couples, and families of color. We started our practice due to a shortage of private practices concentrating on people of color with the overall goal to promote healing and emotional growth by providing a safe space that encourages the development of skills to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health concerns for clients.
